If you have questions about financial aid or need help completing and filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), our financial aid team is available to help!

Most financial aid questions can be answered quickly without a scheduled appointment. Before scheduling an appointment, please drop in to the Student Services Resource Center Virtual Chat Room for financial aid help during the following timeframes:

Day Time
Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. to noon

You can also send an email to enrollmentservices@youqingbao.com for assistance.

More complex financial aid concerns can be addressed by a member of the financial aid team during an appointment. We’re happy to meet with you to discuss your financial aid questions and help guide you through each step of the financial aid process. Students and applicants (those with an MCCC student ID) can connect with a financial assistance coach in a variety of ways:

  • Virtually – video, voice-only, text chat, and screen sharing is available
  • By phone – dial in for an appointment
  • In person at our Blue Bell and Pottstown Campuses

Making an appointment

Before scheduling an appointment, familiarize yourself with the two types of sessions offered and choose accordingly:

  • A 20-minute session if you have already completed your FAFSA, for general financial aid questions, including but not limited to grants, scholarships, loans, academic progress, and income loss.
  • A 40-minute session focused solely on filing the FAFSA, assisting as needed. Please review the details for FAFSA assistance and come prepared.

Please have your Student ID ready for your appointment. If you do not yet have an MCCC student ID, but need FAFSA assistance, we encourage you to first apply to the College. You can also call us to schedule an appointment on your behalf.

What you need for a FAFSA Filing Appointment
  1. FSA ID and Password – You must have a FSA ID prior to joining the appointment. Create your FSA ID here. For assistance, contact the Federal Student Aid Contact Center by email, live web chat or phone at 1-800-433-3243 (TTY calls: 1-800-730-8913).
    • Parents without a Social Security Number (SSN) will be able to apply for an FSA ID for 2024-25. This will speed up FAFSA processing time, and they will be able to submit the form online rather than having to print, sign, and mail their application.
  2. Financial documents
    • The FAFSA for the 2024-25 academic year (fall 2024, spring 2025, or summer 2025) requires 2022 financial documents
    • You will need the following documents to complete your FAFSA:
      • Federal income tax return(s) and/or W-2(s) and/or any other records of money earned, including foreign income
      • Current savings statements, investments and business or farm assets
    • Please Note: there have been significant changes to the 2024-25 FAFSA, visit this page to learn more
  3. Social Security Number and/or Alien Registration number, if you have one
  4. Driver's license number, if you have one
  5. If you are a dependent, have a parent with you, if possible. Not sure if you are a dependent student? Find out now.
    • Parents will also need the items noted above and are required to e-sign the FAFSA using their FSA ID and password, so ensure this is created/retrieved prior to your appointment
    • Parents without a Social Security Number will be able to apply for an FSA ID. This will speed up FAFSA processing time as they’ll be able to submit the form online, rather than having to print, sign and mail their application.
